I used a teepee tent
on two trips, one on Mount Whitney and the other on Mount Shasta. I
really did not enjoy it on either hike.
I used it because
it was so light in weight but the lack of wind protection and comfort
may sideline it for future trips. Camping on the snow in a teepee was
really a drag and I missed the cozy feeling you get in a conventional
tent. Good tents offer some extra comfort, especially when it's cold
and windy.
I may use it again
in the summer but only on the right outing.
