Tenaya Lake in Yosemite National Park has a nice beach for sunning and you can even watch the rock climbers. The trail head to Clouds Rest starts on the East end of this lake.

This view of Tenaya from Olmsted Point is spectacular. You can not beat this part of Yosemite for the views you can see from your car.
