Merced River

Yosemite National Park

The Merced River runs through the valley floor of Yosemite National Park. The river is beautiful but dangerous especially in the spring when it is at full flow or in times of heavy rain.

Just consider that all of the water in this river has entered the valley by falling over a waterfall somewhere in the park. That is what makes this valley so wonderful.

The Merced River adds to your valley experience. Especially if you get out of your car and do some hiking and walking.
