Hiking in Yosemite National Park and the surrounding wilderness is one of my great loves. I have created a short web page for each of the following locations. These pages are not climbing guides, but my personal hiking observations.

Hiking and climbing guidebooks are like computer programs, one program does not perform all the functions you want and need. I use these books in combination to obtain different points of view and varied details about a hike or climb. I also use these books to plan out trips I would love to take, but cannot find the time.

A good example is; I learned how to climb Mount Banner from the book, The High Sierra Peaks, but I found how to get around to the back side of the mountain where the climbing route was located in the book, Sierra High Route.
