Cathedral Lakes

The trail head to Cathedral Lakes is located on the West end of Tuolumne Meadows. The hike from the meadow to Cathedral Lakes is short but steep.

This whole area has some of the best back country views in Yosemite National Park and is high on my must-see list. The best pictures of Cathedral Peak can be taken by hiking to the far side of the upper lake. Pictures of the peak with the lake in the foreground are the very best. Plan on being visited by a bear at this location.
